Will Redfall have a single player option?Īlthough initial announcements around Redfall leaned heavily on its multiplayer co-operative mode, it has now been confirmed that the game will also include the option to play solo, and furthermore that each hero character has the ability to deal with every encounter in the game in single-player. That means that regardless of whether you obtained Redfall via Steam, Epic, or Game Pass, you and all your buddies will definitely be able to team up for some co-op vampire slaying. Happily, Arkane have recently confirmed that yes, Redfall will support crossplay between Xbox and PC, further clarifying that the latter will support crossplay between the various storefronts the game is being sold on too. There's also no word yet as to whether enemy difficulty will scale up to meet the number of players in the world, meaning that sticking together could potentially be an informal requirement anyway. There will, however, be beneficial buffs to encourage co-operatation without demanding it. You won't be tethered to your buddies, meaning that all four of you can explore different parts of the town independently if you like. Together, you'll roam the open world town of Redfall, fighting against both vampiric and human enemies in combat encounters varying from small group skirmishes to larger battles. Redfall is primarily a multiplayer co-operative title, where you and up to three buddies can choose from four playable characters with different skills and combat abilities. There's good news for Game Pass subscribers, though, as Redfall is due to be added to the Game Pass library on Day One of its launch. Nor will those Microsoft fans who are still contenting themselves with an Xbox One, since Redfall is acting as a flagship console exclusive for the Series X|S. This means that as it stands, players who prefer Sony or Nintendo platforms sadly won't get the opportunity to check out Redfall on their console of choice. PC players can purchase the game via either Steam or the Epic Games Store. This is due to Microsoft's acquisition in 2021 of Bethesda Softworks LLC, the publishers behind Redfall (and owners of Arkane since 2010). Redfall will be exclusive to Microsoft-owned platforms, and will launch on PC as well as the Xbox Series X|S. Nevertheless, that "first half of 2023" window is the most up-to-date information we have we'll let you know as soon as something more specific emerges. Of course, Redfall has already been subject to one delay, so there's no guarantee that these details won't change again before we see that eventual release. Tuesday is not always the most auspicious release day for games, in my experience, but on this occasion, it does give you a few days to co-ordinate plans to play with your pals on the weekend. ![]() Redfall is due for release on May 2nd, 2023, according to details given at the latest Xbox Developer Direct. ![]() ![]() This effect will give movement in your projects a more natural feel. Rectangular selection of the rat rod image, shown at the actual size as it came from the camera.Īn identical section of the Rat Rod image after Super Resolution has been applied. Even without applying noise reduction, you can clearly see that the enlarged image is noticeably softer than the enhanced one. Notice the ragged edge on the blue shock absorber. The noise is rampant and likely couldn’t be corrected without inducing horrible blurring. Compared to the Enhanced image, this is a true mess. After applying Enhance, the second photo weighs in at 30.3MB nearly three times the original.įor the third and final image, I took the original image and simply enlarged it in Photoshop to be the same dimensions as the Super Resolution image. But it is still sharp, and I am confident I could use noise reduction software to make the image look great. Obviously, it is much larger, and the noise has been magnified. The second image is a sample after applying Super Resolution. Still, when examing the image from a decent distance the noise isn’t very apparent. ![]() To create the very best image, I probably would use software to reduce or eliminate the noise before proceeding. It looks fairly sharp, but there is some visible noise. The first image below reveals a cropped portion of the image at 100 percent actual size. In order to display the full image here, I reduced the dimensions so it would fit the basic template. To appreciate how well Enhance works, you should view the following three photos on a large screen.Īfter color correction and slight straightening, the original photo weighed in at 11.2 megabytes. To give you an idea of a real-world application of the Super Detail feature, I selected this photo of a “rat rod.” Display sizes vary, so you may not notice much difference when viewing the following photos on phones or other small screens. It has been reduced in size to fit on the screen. Real-World Super Resolution This Sony A7s Rat Rod image displays the full crop of the image. When the image is rendered at a normal size, it is obvious the Enhanced version will look sharper and offer superior definition. The fin edges in the original image have jagged stairsteps, and the orange wire is blotchy and rough. Because of the great magnification, neither area looks wonderful, but you can clearly see the wire and the fins on the valve cover are much sharper on the left. Enhanced version contains far more detail.Ībove you can see the area with Enhanced applied (left) and without. Enhanced image on the left, original on right. Moving the cursor off the area will show how it will look with Enhancement. Clicking on the magnified section will display the magnified area without enhancement. The Raw Details enhancement is always applied when you select Super Resolution. Here is where you decide if you want to implement Super Resolution or just Raw Details. The Enhance DialogĪ dialog box will appear with a highly magnified section of the image. When you select the ENHANCE menu item, this dialog shows you a preview of the final result. Once you have the photo looking the way you want, click on the Enhance menu, as shown in the top photo. I think it is better to implement sharpening on the photo after it has been enlarged. I find Enhance works best on clear photos with fine detail. Before applying Enhance, I perform all my color correction and image manipulation first. This Mustang race car features lots of fine details a perfect candidate for Enhancement. Sound good? You won’t want to use it on every image, but it really helps when you want to enlarge an image or magnify a cropped area to a decent size. In this mode, the image remains the same size, but Adobe claims Raw Details provides “more accurate renditions of edges, improves color rendering, and also reduces artifacts.” When Super Resolution is disabled, Adobe refers to the menu item’s action as Raw Details. Enhance analyzes a photo and inserts custom pixels that closely match the shapes and colors in the original image. When Super Resolution is enabled, Enhance can double the resolution of an image, while retaining sharpness and detail. Available in both Lightroom and the Camera Raw plugin in Photoshop, the command uses computer intelligence to boost the overall resolution of an image. If you haven’t used Adobe’s brand-new Enhance feature yet, I urge you to give it a try. ![]() In honor of our first performance on Veteran’s Day, Choices: A Rock Opera will donate a portion of our tickets sales which will directly support Wounded Warrior Project ® (WWP) and services for warriors, which include access to mental and physical health care, employment assistance, and education services. The choice he makes soon does not pan out the way he intends, and he sinks to new lows. Encouraged by his carousing bandmates (played by Joe Leo and Nick Celio) and a mysterious character (played by Krupa) who professes to be the only person who can bring the singer to super stardom, it seems that Singer at first chooses that path, only to quickly afterwards forego his life of rock and roll debauchery for that of domestic bliss. When he finally meets an intriguing woman (played by veteran singer and actress Layla Davias) who introduces him to the vast world beyond what he’s ever known, he soon realizes that he has a monumental choice to make. “Choices: A Rock Opera,” written and directed by Armonk resident, John Krupa, and produced by Choices, A Rock Opera, LLC, an independent production company, tells the story of an ultra-driven lead singer from a 1980’s spandex wearing, hairspray rock band called “Choices.” Though his intense focus has garnered the band’s success it has also left the singer (played by celebrated Broadway star MiG Ayesa) cocooned, emotionally underdeveloped, and void of any real experiences beyond the stage. ![]() In 2014 Nicolas Masseyeff returned to Herzblut with the release of his Vero EP.Ģ015 brings him to new shores.
